Funding Opportunities for Fieldwork and Research


OPEN LEVEL

The Stigler Fund for Archaeological Fieldwork
Given by the Department of Anthropology, these awards are open to all full-time students at Columbia and Barnard, both undergraduate and graduate, excepting those students who will graduate before their proposed field season. Preference will be given to students majoring in archaeology and anthropology, but students in other related fields (such as Art History and Archaeology or Classics) may also apply. Awards typically run about $300 to $1,000, depending on the needs of the student. Ordinarily 8-10 students are accomodated. Deadline is usually in April

For students conducting summer fieldwork in and around the Levant

The Etruscan Foundation Fieldwork Fellowships
Available to advanced undergraduate and graduate students enrolled full-time at an accredited North American college or university.
