Given by the Department of Anthropology, these awards are open to all full-time students at Columbia and Barnard except those students who will graduate before their proposed field season. Deadline is April 15th.

GRADUTE FELLOWSHIPS & FUNDING

The Mortimer Hays-Brandeis Traveling Fellowship Provides support to students in the visual and fine arts, including art history, conservation, studio art and photography, for travel and living expenses outside the continental United States. Students must have received their undergraduate degree within the three years prior to the start of the fellowship.

Wenner Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research Doctoral Dissertation Fieldwork Grants

National Science Foundation Doctoral dissertation Research Improvement Awards

Lewis and Clark Fund for Exploration and Field Research American Philosophical Society funding for doctoral students. Supports exploratory field studies for the collection of specimens and data.

Social Science Research Council International Dissertation Research Fellowships

Southwest Preservation Fellowship
