Amanda Althoff

Amanda Althoff is working with questions surrounding animal-human relations and the role material culture plays in navigating these. Her work is focused on conceptual approaches including but not limited to personhood, identity, agency, and the ontological situatedness of assemblages. Having worked intensely with pre-contact Yup’ik animal-related artefacts, she is particularly interested in the circumpolar North.
